Like the other districts in our Special Education Local Plan Agency (SELPA), the District would like to contract with San Joaquin County Office of Education (SJCOE) who will facilitate the processing of Medi-Cal claims, including training, monthly management reports, technical assistance, and timely preparation and submission of the claims. These claims are generated by our psychologists and speech and language pathologists. The cost will come from 7.5% of the District's Medi-Cal claims. We have been utilizing San Joaquin COE for many years, and this year they have reduced their percentage of the claims from 10% to 7.5%, enabling districts to recoup more revenue.
