Subject: Important Parking Reminder During Arrival and Dismissal
Minamahal na mga Pamilya ng Madison,
I want to share a friendly reminder about parking in front of our school during arrival and dismissal. Due to an increase in neighborhood complaints to the San Leandro Police Department, I have noticed more frequent police patrols around our campus.
I recognize that many of our families, particularly those with students in our Extensive Support Needs (ESN) classrooms, need to park and walk their children into the building. I also understand that arrival and dismissal can sometimes take longer than expected.
However, I want to remind everyone of our city's parking regulations:
- Red Curbs: No parking at any time, even for a few minutes while walking a student into the building.
- White Curbs: The area in front of our school is designated for school bus loading and unloading. Please keep this space clear and do not park there.
- Safe Parking Options: Families who need to leave their vehicles should park in designated spaces across the street or in the school parking lot adjacent to Juniper Street.
Please also share this reminder with relatives, friends, and other caregivers who may be dropping off or picking up your child.
My goal is to keep our students and families safe while helping everyone avoid an expensive parking ticket. I would hate for anyone in our Madison community to receive a citation when it can easily be prevented.
Thank you for your understanding, cooperation, and continued consideration of our neighbors.
